A Celebration of Six Decades of Seiko Presage
The SRPK61 was released in 2024 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Seiko Presage line, limited to just 5,000 pieces worldwide. Inspired by the design language of 1960s Seiko chronographs, it combines vintage aesthetics with modern automatic watchmaking in a timepiece that’s both a collector’s item and a daily wearer.
Design
The warm ivory dial features applied indices with a printed chapter ring, evoking the instrument-panel clarity of mid-century chronographs. The hands and indices are treated with Seiko’s LumiBrite for low-light legibility. A small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock and date window at 3 o’clock provide the complications. The dial is signed SEIKO / PRESAGE / Automatic.
The 39.5mm stainless steel case sits comfortably on the wrist — large enough for presence, restrained enough for dress wear. The black fixed bezel frames the dial cleanly, and the box-shaped Hardlex crystal adds a subtle vintage character. The exhibition caseback reveals the decorated Caliber 4R35 movement and the individual serial number engraving (#1855 of 5,000).
Movement
Seiko’s Caliber 4R35 is a proven 23-jewel automatic with manual winding capability, running at 21,600 BPH with a 41-hour power reserve. It’s the same reliable movement platform found across Seiko’s mid-range mechanical lineup — robust, serviceable, and accurate.
